Terms & Conditions

Effective as of July 8, 2026

Critical Liability Waiver

SafeGuard includes advanced Device Owner and Factory Reset Protection (FRP) features. Enabling these modifies core system security. You explicitly acknowledge that any unauthorized attempt to hardware-reset the device while these protections are active may result in PERMANENT DEVICE INOPERABILITY (BRICKING). The Service Provider is NOT liable for hardware loss resulting from self-imposed restrictions.

1. Subscription & Billing

The service is provided as a paid subscription: ₪20/month or ₪200/year, per device, with SafeGuard included at no extra charge on the same device as its paired SafeSurf app. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Billing is processed through Grow, a licensed Israeli payment processor.

Right to cancel: You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting the Service Provider (see below). Cancelling stops the next automatic renewal; you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.

14-day cooling-off period: Under the Israeli Consumer Protection (Right of Cancellation) Regulations, 5771-2010, you may cancel a subscription within 14 days of the purchase date and receive a full refund, subject to a cancellation fee of up to 5% of the transaction value or ₪100, whichever is lower. This right does not apply once the requested service has already been fully delivered and used with your express consent to waive the cancellation right — where applicable, the Service Provider will note this at checkout.

To cancel, contact [email protected]. The Service Provider reserves the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to future billing periods only.

Referral program: your referral code, when used by a friend who subscribes, adds 30 days to their existing subscription and to yours only — it does not cancel, defer, or discount any upcoming automatic charge. The Service Provider reserves the right to modify, limit, or end the referral program at any time without prior notice, and it has no cash value or cash-equivalent redemption.

2. Sponsor & Self-Imposed Restrictions

SafeSurf and SafeGuard let you voluntarily enable accountability features — time delays, passwords, locks, and an optional sponsor who must approve your requests (including a strict mode in which no setting changes without the sponsor's approval). These are restrictions that you choose to impose on yourself.

You alone choose who acts as your sponsor, and you are solely responsible for that choice. If your sponsor is unavailable, unresponsive, declines a request, loses access to their device or WhatsApp, or cannot be reached for any reason, you may be temporarily unable to loosen a protection, change a setting, or unlock a feature. This is the intended behavior of the feature, not a malfunction.

The Service Provider is NOT responsible or liable for any lockout, delay, loss of access, or other inconvenience resulting from your decision to use a sponsor or strict mode, or from the conduct or availability of the sponsor you chose. You are responsible for selecting a sponsor you trust and can reach when needed, and for any consequences of being temporarily restricted by the protections you enabled yourself.

3. Protection Containment When Disabled

SafeGuard's protection relies on the Android accessibility service. If you disable that service while protection is active, SafeGuard does not simply stop — to keep you protected it automatically applies containment until you turn the service back on: it disables the system WebView component (which may stop web content from displaying in other apps, including system apps), suspends WhatsApp (if WhatsApp protection was enabled), and blocks installation of new apps. This is the intended behavior of the feature, not a malfunction.

All of these are restored automatically once you re-enable the accessibility service. The Service Provider is NOT liable for any loss of functionality, inability to browse, suspended apps, blocked installations, or other inconvenience resulting from this self-imposed containment.

4. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the District of Haifa.
